Longshot Light Show Setup

I developed the light coordination feature for Longshot (The cinematics mode for Madden 18). The lights are coordinated and connected so that their color, intensity, and orientation also affect the model emissive, the light cone vfx and the light itself in order to save lighters and animators time and clean up their workflow in tuning this scene

By doing this I was able to create what effectively was a light rig for animators. They were able to easily orchestrate and key elaborate light shows and interactions easily without having to interface with lights and vfx, while lighters were able to adjust values in one place and see their changes reflected in the models and vfx as well.

I made the individual values separately tuneable for scenarios where the vfx or lights would blow out the camera. That way the meshes could still appear emissive without washing out the scene.
